Southwest- Anthony Moody's Thoughts

We enjoyed a very beautiful evening was down south in Three Rivers Texas tonight. The weather was unbeatable- warm and sunny! You could hardly tell that it was December. A couple of the students are actually from this area, so they were excited about seeing some familiar faces. The play began like any other night, until just before we began, a little boy shouted out, “hey, someone turn off the lights!” Everyone laughed. That was followed by another young boy who said, “sorry, that was my brother. It was very funny and we all had a good laugh. The audience was very responsive to every part of each scene, which we as the cast very much enjoyed. We felt liberty to act out our characters to the fullest. As we finished the play, Bro. Daniel gave the altar call. It was amazing to see how the Lord used him as he exhorted and pulled for souls and invited and compelled them to come and pray. You could feel the presence of the Lord unlike any other service up to that point. Several young people were weeping in the altar and allowing God to work in their lives. It was very encouraging to see God at work. The pastor dismissed with a prayer, in which you could feel the burden of his heart for his congregation to hold onto what God had done for them that night. After the service we enjoyed a time of good fellowship with the people. As we took down the set, several little children came over and were playing on the piano. We were shocked at the talent of these little ones, and we had fun watching them and playing with them. Personally, I was sad to leave the beautiful weather, but it was truly refreshing to feel that the Lord had ministered to lives and we look forward to our next church.
