we made the journey to Bro. Eugene Baker’s church. On the way we had a few good laughs when Alyssa saw the cotton fields and wondered why anyone would want to grow cotton, only to decide they must make their own clothes. Other than that the trip was fairly uneventful until we reached the church, Free Will Baptist of the Pentecostal Faith, and prepared ourselves to perform the play.
That night the play went very well with virtually no kinks. We remembered our lines and had our nerves under control. There were about four hundred people there that night and they loved the play laughing, clapping, and I heard a few sniffles as the play was being performed. No one really came to the altars that night but a lot of people came to me and told me how they really enjoyed the play and that it touched their heart. So even though I would have liked to see people come to the altar, I am glad that the play did what it was supposed to and that is reaching into the hearts, minds, and spirits of the people who came out to see it. - Zachary Pritchett
