Midwest - Catherine LePelley's Thoughts

Today we went to Full Gospel Holiness Church in Indiana, where Brother Jerry Raider is the pastor. It was kind of nerve racking because we were told that this would be a large crowd. In all there were at least 200 present. As we were unloading and taking the props in to the church Kyle saw two young girls playing across the street and invited them to come to the play. At first they weren’t going to come, but later they showed up and sat on the front row. They were touched by the play, and Sister Amanda got to pray with them. When Chris gave the altar call there was no response. We had been praying against this (they did not respond at the play last year either). Even after the pastor got up and beckoned they still didn’t come. It was very discouraging but we knew that the Lord had moved during the play, and altar call. After the play one of the Sisters came up and told me that it was a timely play and that the part on adultery really spoke to her dad (he had been in adultery 2 years earlier), and even though he didn’t pray she knows that it spoke to him. She told me that she hopes that the Lord will continue to deal with him. Even though people didn’t come forward we know that even though we didn’t see the fruit we can rest assured that the seed was planted, and the Lord will continue to deal.
